Handprint Critiques
LSC reference: CM.ex.1.02
It occurs to me that the handprint section should be augmented with a fingerprint activity. Handprints, as you point out, represent the universality of the human form, while fingerprints represent our unique individuation. Fingerprints are the body's bar code. The state of the art in fingerprint readers (or retina readers) is quite advanced and easy to use today.
This delightful applet by a colleague of mine gives an idea of the playfulness of an interactive fingerprint activity.
